I'm a 20 year old, South African born, white male that has an interest in computer security and body boarding. I live very close to a awesome beach in Kommetjie. It's about a 5 minute walk, 2 minutes if you drive. Going to the beach is something I really enjoy, whether I go for the waves or just with my girlfriend, I LOVE it!
I love to learn. Running all kinds of Operating Systems, on any type of architecture (x86, SPARC, PowerPC), is something I take an interest to. I take a liking to all the aspects (development, usage, improving etc) of the Operating Systems that I use.
My favorite GNU/Linux Distribution is Gentoo. If you would like to know why Gentoo is my favorite, consider watching this Youtube video I created. I really like GNU/Linux, I created a webpage on the wonderful kernel.
I love Open Source but I don't mind Commercial software either.

My Certifications include:
- CompTIA Linux+
- EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH)
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) (download my transcript- PDF) (picture of certs)
I still have to complete my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Certifications exams. Sometimes getting around to actually doing the exams is a pain in the ass. I've read through most of the Microsoft Offical Course material, I just sometimes like to read them not only for exam purposes but to expand my knowledge.
I didn't like school a lot. I'm not really sure why... probably it's the fact you are surrounded by retards and the hours seem to drag on forever. I don't like talking about morbid, depressing stuff so I am going to stop with that.
I'm a Christian person and PROUD of it. I wouldn't be anywhere in this world without my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I created a webpage on Christianity, go have a look and tell me what you think of it. TBN is something I enjoy to watch. I don't always watch a lot of it, though when it's on I'll be sure to watch. I'm so glad my girlfreind is a Christian to. In this photo we were playing pool together in my parents' gazebo. Playing pool is something I really enjoy aswell. I find doing trick shots to be entertaing. I sometimes watch ESPN and try to copy the pros :)
The whole web 2.0 thing seems to be pretty interesting. There is a whole lot of potential with it. Some of my web 2.0 profiles are: Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, Blogger, Twitter. If you want to know why I have these profiles, check my profile page.
I really love animals. All kinds especial the fury kind like my kitties. I love them. I have four cats. A fluffy (almost like silk) grey and white cat named Smokey. A black and white cat named Sparky (which has quite a 'sparky' character). The other two we toke over from my aunt and uncle.
They still cool though they are pretty scared, always hidding in the cupboards and stuff. I have taken pictures of my kitty cats and uploaded them to my Flickr profile, go have a look at them.
As for bodyboarding. I really like it. It's really fun. I prefer doing drop-knee as suppose to prone. I stay close to quite a few places that are really nice to body board. We have Longbeach, The Kom, Boilers and quite a few other cool spots. In this picture you can see me doing drop-knee at boilers. The tide was pretty low, that's why you can see the kelp sticking out.
Diaz beach is such a hard shorebreak. It breaks in ankel deep water yet the waves can get anything from 4 foot and upwards. Scary!
I can't really go right on a wave properly, it's weird though cause I am right-handed. I'm better going left.
My favorite pastors are Joel Osteen and John Hagee. I really like watching them on TBN. Joel Osteen is such an inspiration, I try to think and act just like he dose. John Hagee talks on something very, thought provoking, interesting topics sometimes.
Here is a picture of me standing in front of my Dads new boat. It really gose very well, looks awesome too!
I quite like skurfing. Skurfing is when you get pulled behind a boat on a bodyboard or surf board. It can be so fun sometimes. I enjoy it alot.
I love learning new things. I would like pick up some software that I have never used before and just try to figure it out. If I like it I would normally look into getting certified or buying a few books to get enlightened on the topic. I can play around with Visual Studio for hours. As for a programming language, I like C#.
Music, umm.. Pink Floyd is my favorite band. I really like the song Wish You Where Here. The guitar work is so good. I'm hopless at any musical instrument, if it makes music I can't play it :)
I'm not a racist. I will be friends with anyone of any culture, race or colour. I don't fully understand all the cultures out there, I normally try to keep an open mind but when it comes to certain things I have my own, very strong, opinion.
My favorite quotes: "Find your try colours and stick with them, don't change with your enviroment" and "Go after God with whatever it takes!" - Rachel Joy Scott.
I would love to bring a positive change to the world! It something that I am GOING to do!
My dream is to travel the world (it's actually one of my goals). I would love to see all the states in America. Europe, Asia, Australia are all places I want to have traveled one day. I sometimes wonder what people on the other side of the world do, like and generally what the places looks like. Pictures and written material aren't quite the same. Know what I mean? I want to experience the place(s) first-hand.
As for movies, I am quite into watching a DVD at home. I also love going to the cinema, I always buy pop-corn, coke, chocolates hehe. Most of the time I go with my girl-friend. I did like to watch the film Bridge to Terabithia. I found Surfs Up to be an awesome movie too! I recently watched Hancock at our local cinema with my girl-friend. Great movie.
If you really want to know some personal information about me. Here is a picture of my bedroom. You can see my Asus EEE PC sitting on my cup-board. Check all the half-naked females I have on my closet :)

Another angle of my bedroom. Me body boarding in a flow-rider, topless chick and my bed. Pretty cool stuff! :)

One of my mobile computers (Toshiba L40 series) with a heart sticker over one of the letters. My girl-friend bought me the stickers so I decided to stick one there. I run Windows Vista Home Premium on it
As for a mobile phone, I use a Samsung F700. I really like the touch screen. Having 3G is a bonus. It can do something like HSDPA at 3.6mbps. Awesome camera too. I have 4 SD cards that I use with it. 3 x 2Gb, 1 x 4Gb. I mostly use them to store music and camera pictures. If I use mobile T.V, it's CNN.
T.V shows.. umm.. I don't normally watch a whole lot of T.V, but when I do I quite like to watch Prison Break. Air Crash Investigation, on National Geographic, holds my attention a lot. I like to watch anything that you can learn from. Brain food! :)
I really want to have my own flat (or home) one day. It's something that I am saving for (well-- going to start saving for).
Other things I like to do outside, except for body boarding and playing pool, include swimming and scuba diving.

(left) Here is a picture I toke, from my Dads car, over looking my local beach. It's called Long Beach. Look how nice the mountains and sea looks.
(right) A picture of me scuba diving. My Dad and I went diving off a wreck.
In this picture you can see my parents gazebo. We have our pool table in there. You can see our swimming pool too. Our gazebo has such comfy, new, chairs. Cool music aswell!
Check this picture I toke when I was body boarding at Long Beach. My Mother bought me a disposable water camera. It's pretty cool, I want to get another one soon :)

This is a really old picture I have of me trying out a flow-rider. My family and I went to Durban on holiday. They had a flow rider in a shopping mall called Gateway, so we had to give it a try. It's quite different from the waves you find in the ocean, you are standing still and the wave is moving as supposed to you moving along the wave. Know what I mean?
I have a web page that I place my screenshots on. It's more for the archives (they are really old, I like to keep them though). My favorite Window Manager / Desktop Environment is Xfce. Been a Gentoo guy, I quite like a light WM.
I have a rather large collection of books. You can see my miniature library in this picture. My favorite book is Hacking Exposed, I want to get the whole series. I was pretty interested in BASH Scripting, so I bought myself the Shell Scripting Bible 2007. The blue-ish books are the MCSE reading materiel.
My desk. I really like it. You can see a cool photo frame with Elizabeth and I in it. Open Source guys, don't look at that CD-cover :) That Lily Allen poster found it's place on my desk 'cause I don't have any more wall space. It's pretty funny, everywhere in my room there are boobs... boobs boobs boobs hehe (in posters of course)
Information about me you probably don't know: I don't drink(alcohol) or smoke. I don't like partying. My favorite celebrity (if there is such a thing) would be Britney Spears. Britney looked really hot in her music video Overprotected. Anna Faris and Annasphoia Robb seem cool too. I really liked Christina Ricci from Black Snake Moan.
I was never really a gamer. Though I used to like playing Half-Life 1 & 2 and Warcraft 3 (I used to play my games through Wine).
I like to do Wardriving. I haven't done wardriving in quite a while, just haven't been in the mood to. My Asus EEE PC makes for some cool wardriving. I used a D-link USB 2.0 wireless adapter with an extension cable (so I could place the adapter on the dashboard of my car) seeing the EEE PC dosen't have a PCMCIA slot. Chicks really like this video of me (my wardriving equipment-- hope you like the Geek t-shirt).
Hardware I would like to have/try in the near future:
- Macbook (MIPS and X86 versions)
- Nvidia 8800GTX PCI-E
- HD-DVD
- HD Camcorder
Hardware I would like to have/try in the distant future:
- Macbook Air
- Netgear ReadyNAS
- Rackmountable Server Cabinet
Applications I use:
Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 3
Media player: Mplayer (win32 and POSIX)
I used to be quite into botnets. I lost interest over time. I remember I had some uber cool private source that was installed on about 150 computers. wow, looking back though very old(4 years ago) back-ups I found two screenshots (1,2) of me playing around with a botnet on Mandrake Linux 10. Really old stuff.

Considering a donation? Please do. For me every bit counts!
I accept knowledge from everywhere I can find it. When it comes to reading though, I generally prefer written material like books. I love technologies like VMware (and other virtualization). I find it to be very useful and a all-round great idea.
I never seem to get bored when messing around with Windows Active Directory. I can speak on the topic for hours.
Meeting new people is fun. Learning about different countries and cultures is something I take a liking to.
I dislike (I don't like saying the word hate) a morbid and depressing attitude towards something. I always try and stay positive no matter what the situation is.
Solaris is a Operating System I want to learn and try next. I heard such a lot about it, I think it's about time I tried it. The CD-ROM's arrived in the post sometime back (Solaris 10 and Open Solaris), I just haven't run them yet.
Pic: me wearing my geek t-skirt (taken with a 1.6mp webcam).

I drive a Ford Laser (or is it a Tracer? - I know it sounds dumb, but I don't exactly know what model car I have). I like it, it's reliable wheels and I am happy, grateful for it.
If you want to see what my bedroom looks like, click this link it will take you to a webpage were you can view pictures I have taken of my bedroom.
As for my occupation, I'm a Service Desk Engineer for a I.T firm. It's pretty nice because it only takes me about 30mins to drive to work. I work on a shift basis, the hours are flexible. I have to get used to working for two twelve-hour shifts on every second weekend though.

I really love getting tubed on a bodyboard. I stay about a 10 minute walk from this spot(in these two pics). It's called The Kom ("Die Kom").
I absolutely love bodyboarding!
